Our cedar suet feeders are crafted in Maine from northern Maine cedar (renowned for its decay resistance). Each is handmade and unique. The shape and rough texture simulate antique buoys. Each is colored with the highest quality solid stain available. The rope handle is an actual piece of used lobster rope largely beach-combed from a Maine beach after a winter storm.
Our suet feeders have a base of 4.75” x 4.75” and are 16″ tall. The flat sides allows pole or post mounting along with the traditional limb placement using the rope handle. A small decorative black chain looped around a post and hooked back over the wire front holds the suet in place. Each suet feeder comes with an installed suet cake and will accept any standard cake. Many folks remove the cake and insert it, we prefer to remove the wrapper and insert tray and all.
